Quadra Drive II®
The Quadra-Drive II® 4x4 offers the ultimate in off-road capability, combining a full-time transfer case with Electronic Limited Slip Differentials (ELSD) for best-in-class[1] traction. The system instantly detects tire slip and smoothly distributes engine torque to the tires with traction. ELSD also uses an electronically controlled clutch to automatically and instantly vary from slip to lock at each axle. This maximizes traction when needed without any of the on-road drawbacks normally associated with such a robust 4x4 system. Available on Jeep Commander® Overland, Limited and Sport in the Quadra-Drive II ® 4x4 Group. Learn More»

Quadra-Trac II® 4x4 provides a two-speed active transfer case and Brake Traction Control System (BTCS) that transfers torque to individual axles as needed to maintain traction under changing road conditions. The system also uses throttle anticipate—sensing quick throttle movement from a stop to maximize traction before tire slippage occurs.
