Occupant Protection

  • Air Bags and Restraints

    All Jeep® Commander models feature standard advanced multistage driver and front-passenger air bags,[1] and a Side Occupant Protection System with side-curtain air bags,[1] which provides additional protection to outboard occupants in the event of a collision or rollover. The integrated restraint system includes three-point lap and shoulder belts for all seating positions, with pretensioning and load-limiting retractors for the front seat belts.

  • Crush Zones

    Engineered crush zones divert and dissipate impact energy away from the passenger compartment, helping minimize injuries in the event of an accident. Plus the Jeep® Commander safety-designed fluted driveshaft collapses upon rear impact.

  • Safety Cage

    The body components of the Jeep® Commander combine to form a structural safety cage and provide outstanding occupant protection in the event of an impact. Plus the Jeep engineered UniFrame construction is stiff, light and contributes to safety and long-term dependability.
