Jeep® Trail Rated®
The Jeep® Trail Rated® badge certifies that the vehicle[1] has been designed to perform in five key off-road performance categories: traction, ground clearance, maneuverability, articulation, and water fording.
Jeep Trail Rated is an industry-leading methodology that measures and predicts off-road performance for all Jeep vehicles.[1] A combination of natural and controlled field tests, plus computer-simulated environments, make Jeep Trail Rated a consistent measure of off-road performance-and only Jeep vehicles can be Trail Rated. Trailer Sway Control
Please no sway today. The 2008 Grand Cherokee's available Trailer Sway Control (TSC) system helps reduce trailer sway and improves handling in adverse towing conditions caused by crosswinds and traffic. TSC works with ESP[3] and ABS, alternating brake pressure to automatically correct oscillation in the vehicle-trailer system. TSC does not require any driver input. It automatically activates when needed. The ESP function lamp will flash when TSC is activated. TSC is available on all Grand Cherokee models in the Trailer Tow Group Class II and the Trailer Tow Group Class IV.
Removable Lower Front Fascia
Off-road enthusiasts will be pleased with the new two-piece fascia which allows the entire lower piece to be removed before hitting the off-road trails.
