  • Five-Speed Manual

    Patriot's smooth shifting five-speed manual transaxle mates beautifully with the 2.4-liter I-4 World Engine for powerful acceleration, outstanding fuel economy,[1] and solid overall performance. Jeep® Patriot is also the most fuel-efficient 4x4 in its class[2] when equipped with the available Freedom-Drive I™ 4WD system.

    5-spd manual transmission with 2.4-Liter engine is standard on Sport and Limited.

  • CVT2 Transaxle

    Elegant efficiency. The available second-generation Continuously Variable Transaxle (CVT2) shuns gears and instead uses a steel belt and active pulleys to create the optimal gear ratio for maximum efficiency and the lowest impact on your hot chai latte. When combined with two-wheel drive, the CVT2 provides quiet shifting, solid acceleration, and up to 27 highway mpg30_mpg when paired with the 2.0L engine.

    CVT2 is available on Sport and Limited with 2.4-Liter engine, and Sport with 2.0-Liter engine.

  • CVT2L Transaxle

    The second-generation Continuously Variable Transaxle (CVT2L) has an effective 19.1:1 overall first gear crawl ratio and is included in the available Trail Rated® Freedom-Drive II™ four-wheel-drive Off-Road Group. The CVT2L has an integral low range that provides the torque multiplication needed for water fording, steep grades, and crawling slowly in off-road events. The Trail Rated badge is the outward symbol that testifies to a Jeep vehicle's tested and proven off-road capability.

    CVT2L and 2.4-Liter engine is available on Sport and Limited in the Freedom-Drive II™ 4WD Off-Road Group.
