Anti-Lock Brakes
Patriot's standard four-wheel antilock disc brake system (ABS) with brake assist and traction control can help drivers maintain vehicle control during emergency braking. ABS modulates the brakes to reduce stopping distances and improve steering control under braking. Special off-road calibration provides sustained lockup on surfaces like mud or gravel for improved braking, and aid in trail driving when in four-wheel-drive Off-Road mode.

Electronic Stability Program[1]
A great defenseman. Traction can be compromised on wet, snowy, icy, sandy or loose gravel roads, Hot, dry pavement can also form a thin layer of oil, causing a slick surface. Patriot's advanced Electronic Stability Program[1] (ESP), all-speed traction control, hydraulic Brake Assist, and Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM) systems work together by applying selective wheel braking and engine throttle control to help the driver maintain vehicle directional stability. There are three modes of ESP to choose from: Full-on, partial, and full-off for varying degrees of traction control.

- Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Always wear your seat belt and obey traffic laws.
Tire-Pressure Monitor
Pump it up? Maybe. Maybe not. For added confidence, safety, and security, Patriot's Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system alerts the driver if one or more tires are under- or over-inflated. A Tire Pressure Monitoring Warning Lamp comes standard on Sport. A Tire Pressure Monitoring Display is standard on Limited, available on Sport E Package.
