    Jeep® Grand Cherokee, the most-awarded SUV in history, retains the prestigious "SUV of Texas" crown. The 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit was also named the "Luxury SUV of Texas." Mike Herzing, TAWA president summed it up best, "Grand Cherokee once again demonstrated its superior levels of performance, quality, interior craftsmanship, and reliability that make it an award-winning SUV.     Forward Collision Warning System recommended by NHTSA

    The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers an available Forward Collision Warning System + + recommended by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

     

    Research conducted by the NHTSA found that almost 30 percent of the total crashes reported to police each year in the U.S. were as a result of rear-end collisions+. A study concluded that 1.5 seconds of additional warning could prevent up to 90 percent of rear-end collisions.
