    The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers an available Forward Collision Warning System + + recommended by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).


    Research conducted by the NHTSA found that almost 30 percent of the total crashes reported to police each year in the U.S. were as a result of rear-end collisions+. A study concluded that 1.5 seconds of additional warning could prevent up to 90 percent of rear-end collisions.
