Towing

Liberty can tow up to 5,000 pounds, when properly equipped+.

Liberty’s Trailer Sway Control+ system helps reduce trailer sway and improves handling in adverse towing conditions caused by crosswinds and traffic.

The available Trailer Tow Class III Group includes a Class III hitch receiver, Trailer Sway Control+, 7-pin wiring harness and 7- to 4-pin adapter, heavy-duty engine cooling and power steering cooler (full-size spare tire included on all models).

Trailer Sway Control works with the Electronic Stability Control+ and the Antilock Brake System, alternating brake pressure to automatically correct oscillation that can be produced by the vehicle trailer system.

Trailer Sway Control does not require any driver input. It automatically activates when needed. The Electronic Stability Control function lamp will flash when Trailer Sway Control is activated.

    Liberty can tow up to a healthy 5,000 pounds when properly equipped+ with a load-leveling hitch.

  • TOW / HAUL Mode

    Push the TOW / HAUL button next to the shifter for improved vehicle performance, control and fuel economy while minimizing engine noise and adds to control during trailer towing or heavy-load hauling. The TOW / HAUL mode inhibits fourth gear and allows upshifts to third gear during higher speed / lighter loads.

  • Tow Hitch Kit
