The new 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine delivers 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque with fuel efficiency up to 21 miles per gallon with the manual transmission. On-road presence is dramatically improved and off-road performance even more capable with an increase in horsepower.

  • Electronic Throttle Control

    Wrangler Unlimited's Electronic Throttle Control system helps prevent the herky-jerky "pedal bobble" that often occurs when in 4LO mode. Electronic Throttle Control's special off-road calibrations help the driver to "feather in" the throttle over uneven terrain, logs and rocks. The difference is night and day and is akin to walking vs. bouncing along tough off-road events.

  • Two-Speed Electric Fan

    The on-demand, two-speed electric fan features a thermally activated circuit breaker for added reliability during off-road driving.
