    Compass follows the Grand Cherokee's “everything is a premium package” mantra. This means that every trim level — Sport, Latitude, Latitude with Altitude Package and Limited — benefits from sound deadening treatments that enhance the quietness of the interior. Jeep® vehicle engineers added panel pads and insulation in a number of places to mitigate the noise and quiet things down. Quiet tests included the use of an “articulation index,” which measures the ability to hear speech, as the yardstick for interior noise, vibration and harshness.
