Rock-Trac® 4WD
- /shared/2013/wrangler/capability/rubicon/primary/2013-wrangler-rubicon-rocks.jpg
Choose the Rock-Trac® 4WD system — one of the toughest four-wheel-drive systems known to mankind — and you’re ready to operate in the most outlandish <br />environments.

Electronic Sway Bar Disconnect
- /shared/2013/wrangler/capability/rubicon/primary/2013-wrangler-rubicon-sway-bar.jpg
With the flip of a switch, Wrangler automatically disengages its trick electronic front sway bar when driving under 18 mph in 4LO mode. This, my rock-hopping friend, allows the wheels to drop and compress a monstrous 22 percent further than previous generation Wrangler 4x4s. No mistake. 22 percent! That’s HUGE!

Tru-Lok®
- /shared/2013/wrangler/capability/rubicon/primary/10_j_w2d_cap_rub_trulok_prm.jpg
Front and rear electronic locking differentials lock power and distribute it evenly between the wheels for the ultimate in traction. The instrument panel-mounted rocker switch can lock either the rear or both axles. Electronic solenoids mounted in the axles help keep them safe from damage on the trail (without worrying about pressurized lines).

- Rock Rails

Heavy-duty sill guards (a.k.a. rock rails) are bolted directly to the frame for added body strength and to resist twisting when sliding over rocks and boulders. The rock rails are fully functional and provide rocker panel and lower bodyside protection. You can significantly decrease your chance of body damage with this functional hardware.
- Dana® 44 Front & Rear Axles
2010 Model Shown.Dana® 44 heavy-duty axles are the price of admission to hard-core trails. The next-generation axle's above-center mounting (of the driveshaft) aids ground clearance, adds strength and reduces driveshaft joint angles for smooth and quiet operation. The housing is stiffer and stronger, and the pinion bearings are larger to handle high torque requirements.
- BFGoodrich Mud Tires

Rubicon comes equipped with standard 32-inch BFGoodrich off-road tires which have a custom tread pattern that is exclusive to the Jeep brand. The meaty tires have more tread blocks with biting edges for foul weather (including ice and snow).
