Voted as one of Ward's 10 Best Engines for 2012+, this 285 horsepower engine is ready to provide you with power, satisfying fuel efficiency with up to 391 miles on a tank of gas+, and will deliver up to 260 pound-feet of torque.
Command-Trac® & Rock-Trac® 4WD Systems
For more four-wheel, off-roading power, the Command Trac® NV241 4WD system comes standard on Wrangler Unlimited Sport, Wrangler Unlimited Sport S and Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, and delivers equal power to all four corners to get you through the rough stuff.
For more control and more torque, the Rock-Trac® 4WD system is a go-anywhere system with a 4:1 low-gear ratio that lets you to crawl at a lower speed with a greater increase in torque at the wheels.
Rock-Trac® and Command-Trac® are part-time systems and are not recommended for use on dry pavement.
Differentials, axles, sway bars & shocks
Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon offers tuneable monotube shock absorbers which feature low speed tunable valve technology that's firm on the rocks and relaxed at higher speeds. Standard Dana 44 front and rear axles are equipped with Tru-Lok® locking differentials, and offer the ultimate in traction. Front axle sway bar-disconnect allows for better articulation off-road.
