- Four Wheeler of the Year

The dominance continues. The Jeep® brand wins its third consecutive "Four Wheeler of the Year" + award from Four Wheeler magazine. The new 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Moab Edition is the latest Jeep vehicle to win this esteemed award and comes off the heels of the Wrangler Rubicon winning last year. According to Four Wheeler editor John Cappa, "The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Moab is an extremely versatile vehicle and was a hands-down trail-favorite of the Four Wheeler judges. The improved interior comfort, amenities, power and overall performance both on and off-road make it worthy of being our 2013 Four Wheeler of the Year."
Four Wheeler has been conducting the competition since 1974, and it is one of the daunting challenges a vehicle can undergo. To qualify for the competition, entries had to be entirely new or have substantial mechanical revisions from a previous model year and use a two-speed transfer case. Testing was conducted over more than a thousand miles on a variety of terrain, including jagged rocks, shifting sand dunes, high-speed graded roads, and more.
- 2012 Best Car for the Money Award
The iconic Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited won a Best Car for the Money award by U.S. News Cars in its fourth annual event. The Wranglers received the highest marks for overall value and appeal within the Off-Road SUVs category. According to U.S. News Cars, owners are hanging on to their vehicles longer, and are looking for added value from the day their vehicle is driven off the dealer's lot to the day they're traded in.
The awards combine the U.S. News Automotive rankings as well as five-year total cost of ownership data from the analysis at TrueCar.com. The results highlight cars that not only delight car reviewers, but also provide lower than average ownership costs. Rankings are based primarily on the balanced, diverse opinions of hundreds of professional auto critics, which are blended together to create a consensus about each car. More than 250 vehicles were evaluated in the rankings.
- Wrangler is Best Resale Value - Top 10 Award Winner

Holding value can be a key factor when making a vehicle purchase. No worries with Wrangler. The 2012 Wrangler is a Kelley Blue Book® Best Resale Value: Top 10 Award winner+. The annual Kelley Blue Book award recognizes new vehicles that best maintain their appeal after five years of ownership. Wrangler ranked in the top 10 and won the Compact Utility Vehicle segment.
According to Eric Ibara, director of residual value consulting for Kelley Blue Book, "Jeep had one of the better year-over-year improvements with a 4.1 percentage point gain in its 60-month residual value for 2012. Particularly the Wrangler, among this year's top 10 list, has been a steady performer, consistently racking up high values. For example, the 2007 model has yet to dip below 60 percent of MSRP as a 5-year-old vehicle. Each succeeding model year has managed to maintain that same high level of performance."
- 2012 Residual Value Award

Wrangler vehicles have a long history of retaining their value. Predicted positive: the 2012 Jeep® Wrangler won ALG's prestigious Residual Value Award – Best Compact Utility Vehicle for 2012+. Each year, ALG's Residual Value Awards are a mark of quality and reflects powerful resale performance. According to Raj Sundaram, ALG: "The Wrangler is iconic among SUVs, and Jeep has continued to build its status by pairing its famous rock crawling abilities with fresh features and a refined interior. Regularly updated editions stoke demand, helping it jump to the top of the Compact Utility segment."
Award winners are determined through careful study of the competition in each segment, historical vehicle performance and industry trends. Vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand, and pricing and marketing strategies remain the key factors that affect ALG's residual value forecasts.
