SmartWay® Certified Vehicles are recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for having tailpipe emissions significantly lower than environmental thresholds. In other words, they're cleaner than they have to be.

The SmartWay® certification system identifies each vehicle's air pollution and greenhouse gas performanceen_smartway_09. Lower emissions earn a higher score, and those vehicles with the best scores receive certification.
