Nearly 2,600 consumers registered for the chance to prove how muddy they were willing to get to win an all-new four-door 2007 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited in the "Jeep Stick in the Mud" challenge. Over 100 willing participants accepted the invitation to actually come play in the mud on Friday, Sept. 29 at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas. Selected "mudslingers" waded through a giant pool filled with 14,000 gallons of mud -- or enough mud to cover nine basketball courts -- collecting sticks and earning points along the way. After surviving three rounds of play and frantically uncovering hundreds of sticks in the knee-deep mud, Homero Perez of Garland, Texas was awarded a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, the newest Jeep vehicle not afraid of getting dirty, and simultaneously proving he wasn't a stick-in-the-mud.
