UConnect® is an in-vehicle, hands-free, voice-activated communication system that allows you to talk on your BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone virtually hands-free. UConnect® is offered, depending on the vehicle, as a factory or dealer-installed option. + The UConnect® factory-install system allows you to talk on your BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone through a microphone in the rearview mirror and hear the person on the other end of the phone through the vehicle's radio speakers. + The UConnect® Hands-Free Communication dealer-installed system features a dedicated control pad, microphone and speaker and functions similar to the factory-installed system. 2. What are the product benefits of UConnect® Hands-Free Communications Systems? + Flexible   You can use your current carrier and telephone number. + Portable   Your BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone is not handcuffed to the vehicle. What features are offered through UConnect® Hands-Free Communication? + UConnect® uses advanced voice recognition that empowers you to dial your BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone hands-free using simple voice commands (example: 'Dial 248-555-1212' or 'Dial John Doe at work') + The UConnect® address book enables you to store up to 32 names and four numbers per name. + Uconnect® allows you to transfer a call from the vehicle's system to your BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone and you can mute the microphone for private conversations. + All BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone functions can be accessed through UConnect® (3-Way Calling, Caller Identification, Mute, etc.). + UConnect® can communicate in English, Spanish, or French. + You can link up to seven different BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless cellular phones to one UConnect® system. 4. Can I continue a call if I leave my vehicle? Yes, UConnect® allows you to continue a call upon entering or exiting the vehicle. UConnect® is designed to transfer calls from the system to your BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone and back again. 5. How does the UConnect® Factory Option operate? The factory-installed version operates in the same easy manner as the dealer-installed version. To get a more in-depth explanation, you can visit your local Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep® dealership or consult your owner's manual. 6. Who will offer UConnect® Hands-Free Communication? UConnect® will be available at all Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep® dealerships as a MOPAR dealer-installed option and as a factory-installed option. 7. What kind of phone will work with UConnect® Hands-Free Communication? A BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile Wireless Phone. 8. What is BluetoothTM technology? It is a wireless technology that enables different devices to connect with each other without cables or wires. You can link your BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone to your vehicle without a cord or a docking station. Your BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile wireless phone can be located anywhere in your vehicle, (purse, briefcase, or suitcoat)... and you will be able to carry on a conversation. 9. Do I have to sign up with certain wireless carriers? You can sign up for any wireless carrier, as long as they are offering a BluetoothTM Hands-Free Profile Wireless Phone. 10. Will UConnect® Hands-Free Communication be offered in Canada? Yes, we plan on making this available in Canada in the near future. 11. Is there a monthly fee to operate UConnect® Hands-Free Communication? There are no additional monthly fees other than your wireless phone bill. 12. Will UConnect® Hands-Free Communication have a warranty? Yes. UConnect® offered as a MOPAR accessory dealer installed option is covered under the 12/12 or 3/36 warranty, whatever is more favorable to the customer. The UConnect® factory installed option will be covered under the 3/36 new vehicle warranty.
