JEEP® CHEROKEE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The 2023 Jeep® Cherokee can be equipped with one of three available 4x4 systems.
Models equipped with the Jeep Active Drive I 4x4 System, a fully automatic system, do not require driver intervention to switch in and out of four-wheel drive.
Models equipped with the Jeep Active Drive II 4x4 System and Trail Rated® Jeep Active Lock allow the driver to switch between High and Low modes. To shift from 4-Wheel Drive High to 4-Wheel Drive Low, follow these steps:
- Maintain a speed of 0-3 miles per hour.
- Ensure the engine is running.
- Shift the transmission into Neutral.
- Push the 4-Wheel Drive Low button once.
- The 4-Wheel Drive Low indicator light in the instrument cluster will begin to flash.
- When the shift is complete, the light will remain on with a solid glow.
Repeat these steps to switch from Low to High Mode. The 4-Wheel Drive Low indicator light in the instrument cluster will turn off when in High Mode.
The maximum length of the 2023 Jeep® Cherokee is 183.1 inches while the Jeep Trailhawk measures 182.9 inches.
There are two ways to reset the oil change light on the 2023 Jeep® Cherokee.
Method 1:
- Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the ON/RUN Mode (do not start the engine).
- Navigate to the “Oil Life” submenu in the instrument cluster display.
- Push and hold the “OK” button until the gauge resets to 100%.
Method 2:
- Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the ON/RUN Mode (do not start the engine).
- Fully press the accelerator pedal, slowly, three times within 10 seconds.
- Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the OFF position.
Press the accelerator pedal all the way down and then release it. Do this two more times, for a total of three times, within 10 seconds.
-Turn the ignition off and then immediately back on.
Front-wheel-drive models of the 2023 Jeep® Cherokee cannot be flat-towed. Other models can be flat-towed behind an appropriately sized vehicle.
The height (including roof rails) of the 2023 Jeep® Cherokee varies from 65.7 to 67.8 inches respectively.
