The 2027 Jeep® Wrangler starts with a heavy-duty steel frame that forms an unshakable backbone. Solid front and rear axles deliver the durability, articulation and traction you need when the trail turns technical, while reinforced driveshafts shrug off shock loads and steep climbs. Underneath, steel skid plates help protect the fuel tank, transfer case and transmission from rocks and ruts, so you can keep moving with confidence.

When the route runs wet, up to 34 inches of water fording capability helps you keep momentum through streams, ruts and washouts. And with a Best-in-Class available approach angle of up to 47.4 degrees on 4-door models and a Best-in-Class available breakover angle of up to 32.4 degrees on 2-door models equipped with available 35-inch tires, you’re ready for wherever the road takes you.

Water Fording

With a high air intake location, sealed electrical connections and moisture-resistant body openings, Wrangler water fording lets you traverse up to 34 inches to cross creeks, streams and puddles. Do not attempt water fording unless depth is known and consistent with the vehicle’s water fording rating in the Owner’s Manual. Ground Clearance
