The Jeep® Brand resonates with consumers around the world as global sales increase to their highest point in its over 75-year history with 1.41 million units sold worldwide for 2016. Strategic launches of the all-new Grand Cherokee, Renegade and Compass vehicles contributed greatly to its success.

The Chrysler Corporation was hit hard by the automotive crisis of 2008-2010. After merging with Fiat S.p.A. in 2008, Chrysler repaid its obligations in the bailout to the U.S. government in 2011 as part of the Troubled Asset Relief Program. Fiat S.p.A. purchased the Chrysler Group in 2014 for $3.65 billion and was renamed FCA US LLC, to reflect the Fiat-Chrysler merger. The Jeep® Brand is going global in sales and saw record profits after the introduction of many new vehicles including the Jeep Cherokee (KL), Jeep Renegade (BU) and Jeep Compass (MP).

The All-New 2014 Jeep® Cherokee replaced the Liberty–promising to redefine the midsize segment. The Jeep Brand dug back and tapped into the Cherokee name to launch this forward-thinking vehicle. Cherokee introduced four models in 2014: Sport, Latitude, Limited and the Trail Rated® Trailhawk®.

The All-New 2015 Jeep® Renegade marked the brand’s first entry into the small SUV market. It launched as the most capable small SUV ever. Jeep Brand designers took many cues from the iconic Wrangler with its legendary seven-slot grille, round headlamps and upright stance.
