BLIND SPOT MONITORING

SAFER LANE CHANGES

The Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross Path Detection alerts you when a vehicle enters your blind spot zone. Sensors scan approximately one lane over on each side. When a sensor detects a vehicle in the blind spot zone, it alerts you with an illuminated icon in the corresponding exterior mirror and an audible chime. When backing out of a parking space, Rear Cross Path Detection scans for vehicles crossing your path and alerts you with the same illuminated icons.

This system alerts you with visual and audible warnings when it senses a potential frontal impact with a preceding vehicle. If you don’t respond, the brakes can bring the vehicle to a full stop.
ACC Stop uses sensors to detect objects in its path. It will bring the vehicle to a full stop in slow moving traffic conditions. ACC Stop will re-engage with the touch of the resume button or accelerator pedal.
Sensors determine your vehicle’s position within lane boundaries. The system provides a visual warning during an unintentional lane drift (if the turn signal is not activated). If you don’t respond, the system course corrects your vehicle back into its lane.
When a suitable parking space is found, this system directs you with on-screen prompts in the instrument cluster. The guidance system controls the steering angle while it directs you to engage the gear position and operate the brake and accelerator.
Sensors monitoring the windshield detect rain volumes and automatically adjust the windshield wipers to operate at the most effective speed.
In an emergency brake situation, the system applies maximum braking power, minimizing the stopping distance.
